Conceived, developed and launched the
Open API Service and Application Exposure Suite, a major component of ALU’s
SaaS and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) direction. Developed and sold
the concept, business plan and secured $5M funding in 3 months; product
developed by 20 engineer team and launched in 7 months.

Geopepper, a location based advertising initiative with unique Geofencing
capabilities.

corporate-wide Location Policy and Privacy Regime in conjunction with top
privacy outside counsel, and legal and regulatory deputy general counsel.

resources for RFP response and pilot deployment of 320 square-mile citywide
network for emergency responders (NYPD, FDNY, EMS and Hazmat), including all
system and application design and deployment specifications, Developed
partner relationships and negotiated all teaming agreements including
Verizon, Accenture, Parsons Brinkerhoff, Comarco and Mavix. Coordination and
management of application providers, network solution providers, engineering
firms and video surveillance vendors. Developed real-time mobile video
implementation.

WiFi MAN Metropolitan Area Network deployment for public safety/homeland
security with attendant security and backhaul considerations.

Pioneered
4.9GHz wide-area WiFi MESH implementation (Motorola acquired Mesh Networks
for this project).

with Cablevision CTO on design and deployment of wide-area WiFi network (now
deployed in NYC area as CableWiFi).

Drove
successful pilot deployment in lower Manhattan; completed on budget and on
time in less than 6 months.

Co-founder
of Omnipoint Communications. Pioneer GSM network operator started with $25MM
in 1996 and sold 4 years later for $4.8B to DT (T-Mobile). Part of 6 person
“go to market” team that developed network, branding, marketing and service
plans, programs and products for market launch. Took Omnipoint from startup
to network launch in 9 months. Directed all non-voice product content and
service development, wireless data/information services strategy, business
plan, implementation and partnerships.
· Led 1st US deployment of
commercial GPRS network and data services.

Launched
spin-off startup Saraïde.com, a multimedia wireless application platform
company; developed strategy & business plan, secured $25m investment
funding, negotiated and implemented legal agreements with Microcell, Nortel
and GSM Capital; Sold to InfoSpace for $400M 9 months later. Involved with
IPR valuation and acquisition.
